Kelly Jo (Livingston) Cotton is passionate
about cookbooks. She is passionate about this impending
reunion. So what a perfect idea for a fundraiser!! Kelly first
raised the idea in the early summer of 2000 and the committee readily agreed
that it was a GREAT way to make some money to help defray some of our expenses
and keep ticket prices down. Kelly (Farry) Noll, our catering classmate,
helped Kelly design the cookbook and pull it all together.
So last August the Reunion Committee sent out a letter to everyone for whom we had an address regarding the cookbook fundraiser. This letter included recipe entry forms for up to five recipes (although some of us on the committee contributed more than the 5 to plump up the cookbook a little!). Anyway, by our October deadline date we had received recipes from 31 contributors, and the result is quite impressive! Our pride and joy is pictured at right!
Cookbooks are priced at $11 each. For every cookbook we sell, the Reunion Seed Money Fund gets to keep about $4 (once we have covered the cost of the book and the shipping out to YOU!). The more we sell, the more profit we make, and the more reunion costs we can cover!
