object here is to RE-CONNECT, not dis-connect. PLUS,
we need to give the
caterers an accurate head count, we need to make name badges, we
need to
pre-order t-shirts, we need to prepare your Memory Book page, et cetera,
et cetera!!! SO

Committee
In preparation for our reunion, a committee has been formed and three official meetings have taken place, the last one taking place on Saturday, February 24th! Present at this last meeting were Michelle (Bastian) Richards, Jim Davis, Kelly Jo (Livingston) Cotton, Jayne (Potter) Snyder, Lisa (Roberts) Robinson, and Cathy (Sassone) Mularz! Check out the Scrapbook for photos of these historical (hysterical?) events!Michelle (Bastian) Richards and Kelly Jo (Livingston) Cotton, co-chairs for our Big 2-0, are getting lots of help from a fabulous committee and lots of other eager-to-help classmates. THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!! Countless email has been exchanged. (Do we have your email address?) We started back in June 2000 and we met again in August (thanks, Lisa Roberts Robinson, for letting us invade your home!!), and again on Feb. 24th (thanks again, Lisa!!!). We laid the framework for Reunion Weekend--what we hope will be a memorable and fun-filled time for everyone. We set the date--Friday & Saturday, August 3rd & 4th, 2001--and named the places--Rainer's Gourmet on Main Street in South Glens Falls will host our adults-only Friday night event, and we will have a catered family picnic on Saturday at Moreau Rec! We will also have a golf outing, a tour of the remodeled high school, and a discount for Sunday Brunch at Rainer's Gourmet! Mark your calendars!!!! Click the Events link above for more information...

We have been spending MUCH time and energy locating classmates. We have created a reunion database of contact information and have actually found more than we haven't found, so we are making great strides. • so that we know if you plan to attend the 20th and how many we'll have (for catering purposes!)
• to email-enable your name on the Found list
• to send us a new address if you move
• to send us a new email address if you change Internet Service Providers (like so many of you
have and we don't have your new email address! Yikes!!)
This web site will live on long after our 20th has come and gone, and will hopefully serve as a contact page and way to keep in touch from here on!PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS NOT THE REGISTRATION THAT GETS YOU TO THE REUNION!!! Cookbook Project
If you haven't heard already, we created a Class of '81 Reunion Cookbook as a fundraising project to help defray reunion costs and keep our ticket prices down. We had 31 contributors, and it is packed full of delicious recipes and useful information. It is really quite impressive! The cookbooks were shipped in mid-December and were available for holiday gift-giving...everyone on my list got one! Click here to see a picture of the cookbook and to see how you can order one or more. Remember, the more cookbooks we sell, the more money we make for the Reunion Fund, the more reunion costs we can defray, and the lower the reunion tickets will be! This is win-win for everyone!! In addition to the cookbook project, we have been collecting "seed money" in the amount of $50. This money is NOT a donation, but a down payment on reunion tickets, and will prevent any one committee member from reaching deep into her or his own pocket to cover reunion costs that we have either already incurred, or will be incurring between now and the first weekend in August! Down payments and deposits are a necessary part of this planning process. Don't forget to check out the Scrapbook, especially if it's been awhile since you've seen it! There are photos there from high school and beyond--we have photos from some of you during your wild college days, on your wedding days, and more!!! Thank you to everyone who has sent photos so far--I am also putting up the ones you guys send me for the Memory Book, so you can see the "living color" versions (alas, our Memory Books will be printed in black & white, I am sorry to say...). If you have any photos you'd like to share before the reunion-- of high school, your 20s, your 30s, weddings, pregnancies, kids, pets, etc.--send them to me and I'll put them in our on-line Scrapbook!Miscellaneous
The committee has also decided to make available a Reunion T-shirt, and these will be available for only $10! A great keepsake!! There will be a place on your reunion ticket order form to specify quantity and sizes. Additionally, we will be compiling Memory Books for this reunion, and there will be a form or two for you to complete along with your reunion package. Memory Books will be included in your ticket price for the Friday night event; for those not attending Friday's event, or for extra copies, Memory Books can be ordered at $10 per book. Watch for this all important mailing in the coming weeks!! We will want a recent photo of you and yours. All photos will be returned at your request! In addition, we would like to have photos and memorabilia on view at the reunion, so please send us what you have!! Anything you send will be returned at your request!!
